Nigeria to Observe Eid-ul-Adha Public Holidays on June 6 and 9

The Nigerian government has announced that June 6, Friday, and June 9, Monday, will be observed as public holidays in celebration of Eid-ul-Adha 2025.

Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo extended best wishes to Muslims nationwide and urged the community to reflect on the festival’s themes of sacrifice and faith. He also encouraged all Nigerians to pray for unity and progress during the festive period.

The government reaffirmed its dedication to ongoing reforms designed to advance national development, calling on citizens to support these efforts.
